Common questions
The food cost looks high.
Check yield on the ingredient. A 70% yield basil costs more per usable gram than the sticker price. Costs on the plate are yield-adjusted for trim and shrinkage.
A scanned price is wrong.
Open the dish and edit the sell price. The scan is a starting read, not the menu of record.
An ingredient says new.
It is not in the pantry yet. Add it, set the unit price and yield, then the plate cost updates.
How do I change a price after a delivery?
Scan the invoice from Pantry, or edit the ingredient price. Recipes using that item pick up the new cost.
Is the app live?
Not yet. ChefYield is waiting on App Store approval and will launch on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad first. Android (Google Play) is coming later. It's free to start. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial when the store offer on your device says so.
